Practice-as-Research
Below are the practical projects I have undertaken within academia as a form of research, with the aim of generating new knowledge emergent from practical explorations that respond to theoretical questions, which can only be answered through socially-engaged performance. Rather than answers, new questions and insights are generated that are then placed in conversation with conceptual debates in the field, and can lead to new practice-based enquiries. These projects involve interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration, as well as public-facing partnerships with communities, groups, organizations and institutions outside the university.
