IntegrArte is a new community participation program that I coordinated for the Cultural Center of San Antonio, funded by the Chilean Arts Council. The aim was to broaden cultural access to more diverse audiences and create a platform for expressing the identities and creative capacities of vulnerable social sectors. From March to August 2016, four facilitators developed artistic residencies in diverse contexts on San Antonio, where participants could explore their perspectives and experiences through a range of theatre techniques. The residencies included Multimedia Theatre with mental health patients at a day clinic, storytelling with elderly people in a care home, physical theatre with girls in a foster care house, and circus theatre with disabled young people at a special school. The culmination of the project was a series of public theatre performances integrating all of the participants.
